BioSkills is India’s first structured certification platform designed to standardize hands-on life sciences training across verified laboratories and training centers.
The platform connects learners with industry experts and laboratories, helping bridge the gap between academic learning and industry readiness through competency-based certification.
BioSkills was created to address a major gap in life sciences education. Unlike fields such as technology and business, there has been no centralized platform that provides structured, industry-led skill development for life science learners.
BioSkills brings together training programs offered by established life science companies, giving learners a clear pathway to develop practical skills and build successful careers.
BioSkills programs are designed for a wide range of learners in the life sciences ecosystem, including:
  • Undergraduate and postgraduate students (BSc, MSc, BE/BTech in life sciences and related subjects like Biotechnology, Microbiology, Biochemistry, Pharmaceutical science, Medicine (MBBS), Clinical Research, and Allied Healthcare fields.
  • Graduates and early-career professionals
  • Doctoral and post-doctoral researchers
  • Job seekers and laboratory technicians
  • Working professionals looking to upskill themselves
  • Entrepreneurs exploring innovation, strategy and product management
Most training programs focus mainly on short-term exposure. BioSkills focuses on structured learning and competency validation through:
  • Defined skill frameworks
  • Industry-oriented training programs
  • Standardized certification pathways
  • Hands-on learning in certified laboratory environments across a variety of interdisciplinary organizations working on real-time projects.
BioSkills certifications validate practical skills, not just participation.
Training programs are offered by established life science companies and recognized training partners that already operate in the market with their own products, services, or research capabilities.
These partners deliver training based on real industry workflows, ensuring learners gain exposure to current technologies and learn hands-on laboratory practices.
Training programs may be delivered through:
  • Offline (hands-on) training in the training partner’s laboratories
  • Online learning modules
  • Hybrid programs combining online theory with hands-on lab training.
Most hands-on training programs are conducted directly within the training partner company’s laboratory facilities.
BioSkills offers three major types of programs:
  1. Short-term Courses Short-term, focused learning modules that support academic requirements such as projects, dissertations, and thesis work. These courses help build practical laboratory and technical skills alongside university learning.
  2. Certification Programs Structured pathways designed to develop in-depth technical expertise across domains such as molecular biology, diagnostics, bioinformatics, preclinical research, laboratory animal science and so on.
  3. Industry Residencies Hands-on, immersive project-based internships conducted in collaboration with industry partners. These residencies provide real laboratory experience, exposure to industry workflows, and may include opportunities for interviews or placements.
Yes, training partners conduct assessments to evaluate the learner’s understanding and practical competency. Successful completion of these assessments leads to certification.
Successful completion of these assessments leads to certification
No. BioSkills does not guarantee job placement.
However, the certifications validate structured skills and hands-on training that can significantly improve employability and employer confidence.
BioSkills certifications represent structured competency validation aligned with industry skill expectations.
While employer recognition depends on individual hiring policies, the programs are developed in consultation with the founders of many companies and training is provided accordingly by industry partners to enhance career readiness
Refund policies depend on the stage of enrollment and whether the program has already started. For complete details, please refer to the Terms and Conditions page.
